The Skin Challenge: Get clear skin with lemons.

In a previous post, I revealed my skin condition with excessive hair growth and discoloration. Since then, I have received countless emails and comments on how I am not the only one. So, as I continue my journey of healing, I want to invite you, my readers to join me and help me along the way.

This time, I'm taking on a new challenge of using more natural remedies to help reduce the discoloration. Lemons are known to kill bacteria and brighten the skin. The acidic properties kill any bacteria that may be in the pores of the skin. Over time, the skin will also look clearer and a reduction in "dark spots" will increase the more lemon juice is applied to the skin.

I will be adding a lemon wash and the use of Lemon-Fire Bliss Lemongrass Body Butter as a protectant and moisturizer. I read that the skin may experience dryness when using lemons as a topical agent and applying a moisturizer with SPF should be used.

Yamerra's Body Butter is 100% natural and contains Shea butter so I wanted to add it as an additional protectant. The body butter is extremely potent, so it only takes very little. My skin is sensitive, I will use the body butter Before and After I apply the lemon wash.
This body butter is not advertised as a facial product.  I am using it in this manner, simply because of the ingredients.

Steps:
Step 1 - Apply Yamerra Body Butter.
Step 2 - Rub lemon slice on affected areas.
Step 3 - Allow lemon juice to absorb into skin.
Step 4 - Rinse with cold water.
Step 5 - Apply Yamerra Body Butter.

Stay tuned to see the results.

Great tips, I've always liked and used lemon juice with my skin treatments. You can also mix it with yogurt and cornmeal and make a nice exfoliating facial mask and skin lightener. Another good tip on how to get clear skin is to use 100% pure emu oil as a spot treatment after your moisturizer. Thanks for the post!
