Cocktails with Belle, hosted by X-Rated Fusion at Mingles was a gem-studded event that brought Southern Belles together for a great cause: to support and show love to Demetria on the release of her book.
Demetria mingled with the Belles and read an excerpt from the book about a LA run-in with Suge Knight. (no details here, you have to get the book)

After the reading, Demetria answered questions about how she manages a busy life, writing half her book on her BlackBerry and lit more fire to a few "um-hmms" of curiosity on her dating excursions detailed in the book.

I'm enjoyed my moment with Demetria. She's pleasant, bright and all of everything gorgeous. The quintessential IT girl of this time...yep, I said it! Demetria, doesn't wave a banner of perfection over her head. She simply shares her truths and gives you a guide, without telling you what to do. I often think of her as the big sister in my head (thanks Wendy)...
As a reader of her blog, I'm proud that I was able to witness her claim of becoming and being a writer! I'm already anticipating book #2! All in all, whether she admits it or not, she is THEE all around go-to girl. There's no guessing here, she definitely is a true Belle!

I read the book within 2 days. I pre-ordered the book but I couldn't wait for Amazon to deliver, so I went to Barnes & Noble to get another copy. Also last summer, I spent ALL if not most of evenings reading the entire blog entries by Belle. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend one of her signings or CWB but would love to win the autographed book. Thanks.

There's nothing like sisters supporting sisters and you're definitely doing that with your blog and this event review. Looks like you had a blast! It's so inspirational to see someone create the life they want and be oh so fab at the same time!
