aka Lady’D
Lady’D began working as a Certified Xtreme Lash Stylist in 2009. With a background in the medical field, Lady’D walks a very fine line when it comes to her clients. Operating with a passion for safety, she is very conscious of the health and state of every client that comes to her.
Lady’D describers her technique as "Lash Styling". “I’m making a frame from what I see. Each client is different and will experience a beautiful set of custom of lash extensions”, says Lady’D.
Revealing Beauty: What influenced your passion for lash extensions?Lady’D: I experienced a back injury while working as a nurse and spent a little time at home. One day, while looking through Time Magazine, I read an article that talked about the beauty industry and the fact that people were still paying for beauty.
Revealing Beauty: How does your medical background play apart in what you do now?
Lady’D: I’m big on sanitation. This is fueled by my experience in a clinical setting, which also plays a large part in any spa environment.
Revealing Beauty: How did you transition, specifically with building your clientele?
Lady’D: (with a chuckle)…It was a hard transition. I started with my family and friends, and word of mouth. I posted flyers, and began sharing my “Lash Experience” with women EVERYWHERE!!! I was at all the places where women go sharing my work. I always have literature, cards and images of my work with me, so it’s definitely about marketing too.
Revealing Beauty: What was different about Xtreme Lashes?
Lady’D: When I called them, they wouldn’t give me any information without my certifications of my experience in the medical field. Xtreme Lashes requires that you are certified either in the Health or Beauty Industry of some sort. So, they did an extensive background check prior to me getting into the program.
Revealing Beauty: What is the most common mistake you see with women wearing lashes?
Lady’D: Clusters that are attached with hair bonding glue. (we shared a looooooong laugh!!!) Women are harming themselves because they want what’s quick. When I see a woman who is wearing what I call, “boop lashes…as in Betty Boop” I simply share with her the Lady’D lash experience. I very kindly show her my work and hand her my card. (I’m still laughing from “boop lashes”…) My goal is to give each client my best work every time.
Lady’D emphasizes to her new clients that when it comes to wearing lash extensions, that quality work is what’s most important, not the price. The “Lady’D Experience” is simple…You will walk away from a wonderful, soothing and relaxing atmosphere and the plus is…You look great!

Lady’D consults with all of her clients. She covers all the bases from the care of each client’s lashes and the correct maintenance for a full wear of each refill. You are taught how to treat your skin if you suffer from oily skin and recommended skin care regimen if needed.
