Beaute Memories of #2013

2013 has been what I call, "The Experience".  I had good moments.  Moments I'd like to have changed.  Moments I loved.  Moments I wished were nonexistent.  With all, it was a year of growth.  As a woman, I've grown.  As a friend, I've grown. As a supporter, I've grown.  As an artist and business woman, I've grown.

The final moment I want to share is the celebratory moment of my website going live.  For the past few years, I've been blessed to get a lot of jobs based on referrals.  Transparent moment: IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK! I was referred to an agency and I wasn't selected.  After hard core honest tear talk with a friend and fellow artist, she believed it was because I didn't have a website. I had been using my blog to advertise my work.  It works, but only for a season.  On a Saturday I made a decision that I didn't this issue to continue being an issue.  The following Monday, my site was complete. Kickbutt lessons get results! I'm thankful for "my boo" who didn't hold back on the truth. YOU ROCK! *wink*

Male Grooming & PGA Golf

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with PGA Golfer, Brandt Snedeker and Golf Channel host, Gary Williams on Sea Island.  When I started on my journey of being a Makeup Artist, Male Grooming wasn't actually on the list but I so glad it's apart of what I do.  Truth be told, men are easy to work with and easy breezy on set. The project was for Peter Millar and I can't wait to see the ending result.  I'll be sure to share the commercial with you guys!

Revealing Beaute Makeover: HYPERPIGMENTATION and GREAT COVERAGE

Great coverage for dark spots/hyperpigmentation can be achieved. Great products, the right tools and a smooth application is all you need. You can have the perfect amount of coverage, without looking too made up.  Application is key! 

I prepped my client's skin with Nurturing Force Blot Out Offensive Cream.  This product is amazing.  The oil control ingredients are tried and true. It's a primer, oil control and moisturizer all in one.  I used Mehron Celebre Pro Foundation as the foundation and concealer for the under eye are. It provides great buildable coverage and it's oil free. I like that the product is smooth, and doesn't have a grainy texture. I used Iman's Second to None Semi Loose Powder to set the foundation. 

I was able to achieve a smooth application of the makeup by applying it with a Beauty Blender. You can never go wrong with it.  The form and shape allows you to get into every area of the face.
