Beaute Memories of #2013

2013 has been what I call, "The Experience".  I had good moments.  Moments I'd like to have changed.  Moments I loved.  Moments I wished were nonexistent.  With all, it was a year of growth.  As a woman, I've grown.  As a friend, I've grown. As a supporter, I've grown.  As an artist and business woman, I've grown.

The final moment I want to share is the celebratory moment of my website going live.  For the past few years, I've been blessed to get a lot of jobs based on referrals.  Transparent moment: IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK! I was referred to an agency and I wasn't selected.  After hard core honest tear talk with a friend and fellow artist, she believed it was because I didn't have a website. I had been using my blog to advertise my work.  It works, but only for a season.  On a Saturday I made a decision that I didn't this issue to continue being an issue.  The following Monday, my site was complete. Kickbutt lessons get results! I'm thankful for "my boo" who didn't hold back on the truth. YOU ROCK! *wink*

I'm excited about 2014! There are great rewards in store for preparation and I believe I'm ready! I can't wait to share what happens next!

Bridal Makeup is one trend that should always be the epitome of clean beauty. On your big day, you should display a classic, sultry and timeless beauty look. This is because your images are for a lifetime and you want to look your best.


Wedding day makeup should enhance your natural features.  A lot of brides request neutral looks or a soft smokey eye. Some even consider bold lips like reds and pinks. I'm definitely in for red lips. It's okay to have your Marilyn Monroe moment every now and then!


Prepare to have a consultation.  This will allow you to have your makeup done and see how it works for you.  It will give you a day to wear the actual look and give you the security that your potential artist is the right choice.

I encourage all brides to have a consultation with a makeup artist.  This will help with the "surprise" moments and we don't want those.  If you are looking for that right artist (which you should), search your area and don't be afraid to have more than one consultation.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 7

Day 7 – My Dream Wedding...


Upon reading the title of today's 30 Day Blog Challenge I chucked.  Just like most all the little girls in the world, I have always had a small piece my BIG DAY in the back of my mind.


In high school is was I wanted all of my friends to be bridesmaids.  Every favorite color in the world would be in the mix and we would spend the day with everyone we thought we loved.


In college, it was the same thing, minus a few people but definitely adding a few more.  The colors were the same, but I had decided to narrow the number down.


Oh, how life has changed.  I've changed and evolved so my desires now are not the desires from then.


The best part now is I at lease know that Be-Zaar Events will plan the entire shindig of love!


My ideas change
My love of glamour hasn't
Pink will definitely be in the mix
I was a live band at the reception
Children will sit with their parents
I won't be a bridezilla
Bagdley Mischka warms my heart
I'm not into the fairytale
We want a life after it's all over
I won't go overboard with flowers
EVERYONE will be in the same location
There won't be any..."I'm stuck in traffic moments"
I plan to smile
I know I'll cry
I'll be happy to be in love...
